Project Coordinator/ CEO

Essential requirements: Candidate should be Ph.D in Life Science or allied fields or postgraduate in management/biotechnology with experience in  managing the incubation process  for  at least two to three  years with  relevant experience in research/incubation/business development/product design relating to life science/herbal technologies from  biotech, medical / pharmacy, agriculture, food & Nutraceuticals etc.

Desirable Skills: Experience of managing biotech/herbal projects and leadership abilities for accelerating the technological progress in mind to market journey of  the product development, business /operational plan & institutional development. S/he acts as interface with industries and academic institutions for incubatees.

Maximum salary up to Rs 1,00,000/- p.m., Depending upon the experience; essential qualification can be relaxed in outstanding cases.

Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in helping start-ups grow, building a business plan, and mobilizing resources for grassroots innovators from rural or urban areas or related fields of incubation management. The person should have MBA essential, besides a technology degree as desirable at B.Tech /B.Sc level. The agricultural background will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Identify innovators willing to be incubated and funded at GIANASTRE incubator of GIAN
  • do market research, help in marketing on and off line, business development, mentoring the grassroots community level innovators as well as urban householder women and other tech students/professionals also
  • Mobilize resources for them from public, CSR, private angels, government schemes, crowdfunding etc.,
  • developing proposals for funding by third parties, organize capacity building session, financial management, web content management etc.,

Qualifications

  • MBA degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 4 years’ prior industry related business development experience
  • Strong communication and team spirit, ability to prepare a presentation for innovators
  • ability to stretch oneself for helping creative and innovative communities
  • takes initiatives to expand the portfolio of projects

Consolidated salary Rs. 50,000/- to 60,000/- pm, all inclusive

Executive Secretary

  • A person well versed in executive communication, having good command over English and capable of drafting letters and minutes of the meetings, hard-working and patient, willing to assist with Prof. Anil Gupta for classes, coordination with innovators/students/policy makers, travel schedule etc., may apply 
  • Postgraduate preferred but UG with experience will also be considered
  • Position based at Ahmedabad

Consolidated salary Rs. 30,000/- pm all inclusive (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Incubation Manager

Essential requirements: MBA with Graduate or Post Graduate in Science or Technology / Engineering having 2-3 years of research/management  experience in biotech, agriculture, veterinary science, pharmacy or medical device sector or masters in fields of pharmacy, biotech, or biomedical engineering along with  minimum 2-3 years of experience in incubation/entrepreneurship/business development or setting up one’s own start up.

The Incubation manager will be responsible for managing the activities of the incubator such as seminars/workshops/presentations, development of progress reports/proposals, collaboration with industries/govt., helping incubatees to arrange funds/fabrication/IP management/business planning and development,  etc.

Maximum salary up to: Rs. 50,000/- p.m. (Depending upon the experience)

Agronomist cum Entomologist cum Agri Extension

Essential qualifications: Candidate should be a Masters/Ph.D. in Agriculture having through exposure of agronomy and Pest & Diseases of Crops to design Field trial. Familarity with rearing of the pest invitro is necessary.

The candidate will be solely responsible for on farm trial collection of data, compilation of results, Analysis and statistical analysis of the out comes. Candidate has to work on validation of farmer’s innovations/ traditional Practices. The qualifications can be relaxed in exceptional cases.

Desired requirements: Experiences of managing agriculture projects and leadership abilities for arranging meetings with farmers and innovator to convey results obtained from the field trials.

Consolidated Salary between Rs. 30,000- 35,000/- (Negotiable depending upon the experience)

Position based at Grambharti, Gandhinagar-Mahudi Road, Gandhinagar

Research Associate

Essential Requirements: Candidate should have a Ph.D. in agriculture, veterinary science, phytochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacognosy   with minimum two years of research experience in food analysis and food products development or Postgraduate degree in lofe science with relevant analytical research experience of minimum one or two years. The qualification can be relaxed in exceptional cases.

Desirable skills:

Excellent writing ability with 2-3 years experience in empirical research, hard-working and willing to stretch when needed, interested in treating job as a fellowship to learn and grow

Maximum salary between: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 32,000/- p.m. (Depending upon the experience)

Research Assistant

Essential Requirements: Candidate should be Ph.D/Masters in Life Science, Social science and allied fields. They should have experiences of at least two to three years in research/incubation/business development/technology development/fabrication and managing R&D projects at academic or business institutions/industries.

Desirable skills:

Excellent language skills, writing ability must be very good, 2-3 years experience in empirical research, hard working and willing to stretch when needed, interested in treating job as a fellowship to learn and grow

Maximum salary between: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- p.m. depending upon the experience

Research associates/assistants

to work with Prof Anil Gupta on research and teaching at IIMA, IITB and ACSIR – 3/4 posts vacant

Essential requirements:

Social sciences:

  1. post graduate in management, economics, environmental sciences, or sociology with some experience in organizational research, R & D management, case studies, innovation management etc.,
  2. Post graduate in life sciences/technology management;  with some experience in pursuing applied research, if possible field work, literature review, project management etc.,
  3. Post graduate with experience in managing large research projects, data analysis, coordination and excellent writing skills

Desirable skills:

Copy Editor

Essential requirements: Graduate or post graduate in science/social science/journalism/literature with a minimum two to three year hands on experience in editing, proofreading, layout, translation.

Desirable skills: The candidate should have excellent writing skills in English for drafting communication material regarding our activities and the innovations supported by the organization. We seek candidate who hold strong skills of creativity, detail orientation, deadline driven, meticulous proofreading, Strong fact checking and familiarity with design software and website update. Experience of working in a reputed magazine, newsletters, journal related to community knowledge or other scientific journals is desirable.

Maximum salary between: Rs 25,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- p.m. (Depending upon the experience)
